Painting and sketching, both in the studio and en plein air, I find is a wonderful way for observing and digesting the world around me. These representational paintings then inform and inspire my abstract paintings, with are often of the same locations.
The built and natural environment are great influences in my work. Early on, my education involved studying the natural environment around us, and later in college I earned a bachelors of architecture. After working in architecture and interior design for some time, I put it aside to have a family. As my family has grown, I have focused more and more on my art, gradually transitioning into a full time artist. Largely self taught, I have participated in local art fairs and had work shown in local exhibits as well. Currently I split my time between working from home and my studio in Boonton, NJ.
